RBC Marketing was founded by John Wright in November 2022 and became a limited company the following year.
35 Years in The Construction Industry
John Wright began his career in the construction industry at Kennedy Builders Merchants in the early 1980s. This was the start of a 35-year journey in sales, marketing, and business development working for a range of businesses within the sector.
Over the years, John has worked for building product manufacturers and suppliers, selling to a diverse customer base, including:

Transition to Digital Marketing
In 2016, John moved into digital marketing as a franchisee with it'seeze web design. During this time, he worked with small and medium sized businesses in Surrey and Sussex to strengthen their online presence. To add to his web design knowledge, he studied and developed a deep understanding of SEO, email marketing and social media marketing. This helped him grow both his own business, it’seeze Horsham, and those of his customers.
The Birth of RBC Marketing
In 2022, John had the opportunity to provide all marketing services for Roofbase Limited, a nine-branch £30 million turnover roofing merchant based in the South West and the Midlands. This was too good to pass up, and so RBC Marketing was established to deliver a wide range of marketing services to businesses in the construction industry.

As founder of RBC Marketing, John is a driving force behind the company’s commitment to helping construction businesses grow. With a mind that never truly switches off from marketing and business development, John’s relentless curiosity and passion are at the heart of RBC Marketing’s success.
He constantly explores a wide range of websites for inspiration and fresh ideas and keeps up to date with the latest trends by listening to podcasts and reading books, articles, and industry emails. Even during everyday experiences-whether dining at restaurants, staying in hotels, or visiting shops, John is always on the lookout for innovative marketing ideas and strategies that can be adapted to benefit both RBC Marketing and its clients.
Hobbies and interests
John is passionate about music and a regular at live gigs, particularly enjoying the energy and creativity of up-and-coming and lesser-known bands at smaller venues. He also finds it a source of inspiration for his own creative thinking.
Shaaron Sargent
Marketing and Web Design Specialist
Shaaron combines creativity with organisational expertise at RBC Marketing. With a background in office management, she turned her passion for graphic design from a hobby into a profession, launching her own e-commerce business in 2007 where she refined her design skills and developed a strong sense for effective visual content.
Since joining RBC Marketing in 2022, Shaaron’s eye for detail and creative flair have elevated the company’s marketing and web design projects. She continually explores new design trends and technologies, ensuring her work remains fresh and innovative for both RBC and its clients.
Hobbies and interests
Shaaron loves cooking up a storm in the kitchen, when not cooking and baking she enjoys relaxing with a good book or going on walks with her 2 rescue dogs.
Niki Nicholson
Graphic Designer
Niki has been passionate about art and design from an early age, nurturing her creativity through self-taught exploration of digital tools. Her journey began with playful experimentation in Paint, progressed through the versatility of Canva, and now sees her mastering the professional capabilities of Adobe’s design suite.
Niki joined RBC Marketing in September 2022 as a graphic designer. Since then, she has brought a keen eye for detail and a love of visual storytelling to the team. Her work spans the creation of engaging social media campaigns and a wide range of design projects for both RBC Marketing and its clients. Niki’s self-driven approach and adaptability ensure that every project she undertakes is both visually impactful and aligned with each client’s brand identity.
Hobbies and interests
When not working, Niki loves to bake, listen to music, and keep fit with running and regular gym visits.
Jill Wright
Administrator and Copywriting Specialist
Jill joined RBC Marketing in September 2024, bringing with her a wealth of administrative and organisational expertise that helps keep the team running smoothly. With a strong background in office management and administration, Jill excels at streamlining processes and ensuring that day-to-day operations are handled efficiently.
Beyond her organisational skills, Jill has a passion for writing. RBC Marketing puts this talent to excellent use, drawing on her copywriting expertise for a variety of projects, from website content and email campaigns to marketing materials. Her ability to craft clear, engaging copy ensures that both RBC Marketing and its clients communicate their messages effectively and professionally.
Hobbies and interests
As well as her love of writing, Jill is an avid reader and always has a book on the go. She enjoys listening to music and attending live music events, and also loves spending time in the kitchen baking treats for friends and family.
